  • CKR Contract Services Pte Ltd v Tai Ping Yang Jian Gong Pte Ltd HC/OA 419/2023: High Court decision on setting aside an Adjudication Determination, turning on the interpretation of section 17(3) SOP Act.
  • Hua Rong Engineering Pte Ltd v Huatraco Singapore Pte Ltd CA/CA 80/2020: Court of Appeal decision on allegations of breach of scaffolding and formworks contract.
  • CFA v CFB [2020] SGHC 101: High Court decision on resisting an application to set aside an Adjudication Determination.
  • Arbitration under the SIAC Rules from 2019 to date. Acting for a Singapore-listed company in a claim by the Employer under a contract based on PAM Contract 2006 (Institute of Architects Malaysia) terms. Involves issues of delay, liquidated damages, alleged wrongful termination, and breaches of PAM contract terms, and amount in dispute of around MYR 81 million.
  • Bintai Kindenko Pte Ltd v Samsung C&T Corp [2018] 2 SLR 352: Court of Appeal decision on breach of natural justice.
  • Acted for Claimants and Respondents in various Adjudication Applications and Adjudication Review Applications, for claim amounts of up to S$45 million.

  • Kwee Seng Chio Peter v Lai Seng Kwoon (in his capacity as private trustee in bankruptcy of the estate of Kwee Hui Ling Karen) and another matter [2025] SGHC 46: High Court decision on a businessman’s claim for 5 properties held in daughter’s name.
  • Arbitration under the SIAC Rules from 2021 to 2025. Acted for a PRC subcontractor in a claim against a PRC main contractor with construction operations in Saudi Arabia. Involved issues of misrepresentation, fraud, termination, and amount in dispute of around USD 65 million.
  • Lim How Teck v Laguna National Golf and Country Club Ltd [2023] 4 SLR 1634: High Court decision on a winding up application brought against a country club by a creditor and club member.
  • Façade Solution Pte Ltd v Mero Asia Pacific Pte Ltd [2020] SGCA 88: Court of Appeal decision on allegations of fraud.
  • Spandeck Engineering (S) Pte Ltd v Defence Science & Technology Agency [2007] 4 SLR(R) 100: Court of Appeal decision on negligence in respect of payment certification.

  • Acted for vendors in the sale of motor vehicle distributorship businesses in Singapore.
  • Acted for a hire–purchase company in the application for an Exemption from Moneylenders Act for loan extended to specific group of commercial borrowers.
  • Acted for a local company in a joint venture with a German MNC to set up a hire purchase company in Singapore.

Notable Matters:

  • Acted for vendor in the sale and lease back of industrial buildings to local REITs.
  • Acted for Purchase for acquisition of a town club’s assets including a freehold property by way of tender and thereafter the setting up of a new town club.
  • Acted for the owner of a 26-storey commercial building in Sydney, Australia in the sale of the same to a Real Estate Investment Trust partly for cash and partly for units in the said Trust.
